Beige-Pink Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Dupatta
Silken yarns of different hues, painstakingly set-up and used across the warp and the weft, creating a body of checks and a bed for our creepers of rose impressions. A contemporary pattern, tinged with sweet nostalgia of the past.
Color - A beautiful shade of Beige with delicate Pink checks
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
Speciality - Developed using the imperfect impressions made on paper by roses dipped in Indian Ink, our Inkling dupatta has beautiful Kadhua Meenakari buds across the body and delightful rose vines along the border, over a body of checks.
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
