Beige-Pink Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Dupatta

LD760

Silken yarns of different hues, painstakingly set-up and used across the warp and the weft, creating a body of checks and a bed for our creepers of rose impressions. A contemporary pattern, tinged with sweet nostalgia of the past!

  • Color¬†-¬†A¬†beautiful shade of¬†Beige with delicate¬†Pink checks¬†¬†
  • Technique¬†- An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
  • Fabric¬†- Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
  • Speciality¬†- Developed using the imperfect impressions made on paper by roses dipped in Indian Ink, our Inkling¬†dupatta has beautiful kadhua meenakari buds across the body and delightful rose vines¬†along the border, over a body of checks.¬†
  • Tilfi Promise¬†- Pure. Handloom. Banaras.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
