Black Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Saree

PW4

Tisya - "At the Threshold"

She had the sense of reaching a crossing; the other side is where the magic begins.

A marvellous Banarasi Paithani inspired by India's rich textile heritage! Historically donned by the royal families of Maharashtra, this Banarasi Paithani is the perfect saree for a rich, regal and distinctively traditional look. Beautiful peacocks and parrots adorn this gorgeous classic.

  • Colour -¬†An always stunning Black
  • Technique¬†- A¬†classic handwoven Paithani; a¬†technique that uses a zari warp¬†to form a rich golden ground, adorned by beautiful Meenakari work,¬†the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured threads during the hand-weaving process.¬† An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
  • Fabric¬†-¬†Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
  • Speciality¬†- Banarasi weavers have sought inspiration in India's rich and varied regions and made this beautiful¬†classic their own. This saree has an intricate Paithani style border and Aanchal.¬†
  • Tilfi Promise¬†- Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
  • Note - The saree comes with a plain blouse piece. The¬†model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
