Black-Navy Blue Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Saree

Malhar - the romance of torrential rains! A fabulous and unconventional diagonal jaal Shikaargah saree. Evocative of rain showers, royal gardens and a testament to the skill of our master weavers today, this is a stunning piece of handloom art!

  • Color¬†- A¬†ravishing¬†shot colour with a warp of Black¬†and a weft of Navy¬†Blue
  • Technique¬†- An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
  • Fabric¬†- Pure Katan silk
  • Speciality¬†-¬†A full kadwa aadha or diagonal jaal with Roopa Sona or gold and silver¬†zari and Meenakari work across the body of the saree.
  • Tilfi Promise¬†- Pure fabrics¬†and genuine Banarasi handloom at a fair price

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But isn't it charming that no-one else will ever own this beauty handmade just for you?
