Beautiful, old-world charm from the oldest living city. This is an elegant, quintessential Banarasi saree with an evergreen floral jaal in silver zari, delicate touches of meenakari and a delicate antique zari border. Traditional, time-honoured silken art, rendered in a distinctive choice of colours.
-
Color - A beautiful shade of Light Pink
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - A timeless classic with an exquisite kadhua jangla weave and meenakari work. The choice of zari and meenakari makes this an unconventional piece. A labour of love!
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
- Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes only.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
