Navy Blue Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Saree

An exploration and interpretation of our rich, varied and magnificent heritage. On a lustrous drape of pure Katan silk, this saree has traditional Banarasi Kadwa bootis expertly balanced in their size and proportions, colourful hints of Meenakari, and an opulent zari-woven pallu and border. 

• Color - A timeless shade of Navy Blue
• Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
