Silver Grey Silk-Wool Banarasi Handloom Stole

PSWTAGY11146

MRP inc. of taxes

Combining the softness of silk with the warmth of Pashmina wool, this stole has been handcrafted with innovative Banarasi artistry. It features a lattice of Almond blossoms all over the drape and is edged with a classic zari border.

  • Colour: A shade of Silver Grey
  • Fabric: Pure silk in the warp and Pashmina wool in the weft
  • Technique: The finest Tanchoi weaving technique, which employs one or more warps and multiple coloured wefts to produce a self-design which covers the body of the drape. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
  • Speciality: This fabric has been handwoven in the satin weave to achieve a supple drape; even in its texture, strength, and insulation. A singular creation that reimagines traditional Banarasi weaves.
  • Collection Note: The collection's design language pays homage to the native flora of Kashmir, from where the wool has been locally sourced. Each motif draws from a line drawing treatment to give the pattern a sketched feel with an embroidery-like appearance, rendering a timeless inspiration with contemporary allure.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
