An entirely fabulous Banarasi classic. It has an elegant striped resham weave and a gorgeous kadhua border in antique zari and a play of meenakari. A vintage dream!
-
Color - A lovely shade of Soft Pink
-
Technique - Fine Meenakari which involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process. An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - A dash of contemporary with the traditional - a striped body set against a classic border, make this saree a graceful and versatile drape.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
