Technique - The finest Tanchoi weaving technique, which employs one or more warps and multiple coloured wefts to produce a self-design which covers the body of the saree. Border and pallu in the enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
