A beautiful vision in Pink
Nishara and her husband were introduced to each other through their families, but love made its own way stealthily. Although they dated each other for over two years, within a few months of dating, each knew they wanted to get married. On the chosen day, they had a beautiful, traditional Hindu wedding ceremony at the Apollo Convention Center in Mississauga, Canada; surrounded by the love of family and friends.
Nishara knew that she wanted to be a heritage bride - wrapped in yards of her culture, its history and craftsmanship.
Needless to say, her ease and effortless beauty in a saree were a sight to behold!
“I have always wanted to wear a handloom Banarasi saree ever since I was young. My mom wore handloom Banarasi sarees for her wedding. To this day, both of her sarees are still beautiful and in excellent condition.”
She chose a delicate pink kadhua shikaargah saree. In a soothing palette, the saree exuded charms of a bygone era. Handwoven in the finest kadhua weave and gold zari, it had stately elephants and peacocks woven in silver zari. A stunning piece of handloom art!
