'Isabelle' Smokey Taupe Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Saree

SKAPLOW10960

Isabelle

A plain-bodied drape with a floral koniya and a charming border in roopa sona zari. The border has been designed to create a subtle netting background effect with dainty florals outlined over it,inspired by laces popular during the French Rococo period.

  • Color - An elegant shade of Smokey Taupe
  • Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
  • Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
  • Collection note - A pioneering take on the Banarasi brocade, Tilfi's Quarter to Time collection finds artistic synergies between 18th century French Rococo art and heritage Banarasi craftsmanship, marrying silhouettes that have defined feminine wardrobes across diverse cultures and eras.
  • Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
  • Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
