Rangkat Pure Katan Silk Real Zari Banarasi Handloom Saree
A Handwoven Legacy
One of our finest pieces, this is an artistic treasure! Incredibly difficult to weave and timeless in its appeal, a Banarasi Rangkat saree is a rare, handloom masterpiece. This gem features an archival roopa sona jaal made in the exquisite kadhua style and a distinctive pattern with multiple colours, all woven in pure zari made from Real Silver. This saree brings the best of Banarasi weaving traditions.
Color - Multiple rich and delicate colours
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
Speciality - Rangkat is a handloom technique which is on the verge of disappearing. Only a handful of weavers remain that can weave a true Rangkat. This exquisite and time-intensive technique can be identified by the sharp changes in the base colours of the fabric. This requires multiple changes in the warp and the weft and produces a beautiful multicoloured garment.
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes only.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
