  1.  I’d like to add tassels to my saree or dupatta? Could you add do that for me?

Sure, please drop us a note while making the purchase and we will get it done! Kindly add a few extra days (3-5 working days before shipping) when calculating the expected arrival date for your purchase. 

  1. How long will it take for my product to arrive?

We use very reliable courier agencies for shipping our products. Shipping within India takes roughly 3-5 working days. International shipping takes around 5-10 working days depending on the location. Sometimes there might be unforeseen delays for reasons beyond our control. We will keep you informed.

  1. Do I have to pay customs duty on an international purchase?

Yes, you will have to pay import duty if you’re purchasing and shipping our products to a country where such duty is applicable on handloom products sourced from India. Please check regulations before purchasing or contact us if you have any doubts.

  1. Do you offer Cash on Delivery?

Sorry, we don’t offer Cash on Delivery on our products. But trust us, you will love the quality of our fabrics and craftsmanship!

  1. Which payment methods do you accept?

We use payment gateways RazorPay and ccAvenue to process our payments. We accept all major domestic and international debit and credit cards. As per RBI regulations, international cards must have two-step verification activated to process Indian Rupee payments. You can call your bank if a transaction is being blocked. If you would like us to send you a PayPal invoice instead, please drop us a note on banaras@tilfi.com.

  1. Where are you based? Do you have a store?

We are a generations old family business based out of Varanasi. All our products are handwoven in Varanasi and its surrounding areas. We also have our wholesale store in Banaras Chowk. Please visit us if you’re ever in the eternal city!

  1. Can you customize a product for me?

The design making and weaving process for handloom products is quite involved, time consuming and expensive. So, customized production only becomes feasible for 6 sarees or more at a time, depending on the intricacy and novelty of the design. You can read more about the weaving process here.

Color variations are easier and if the saree is still in production, we can accept pre-orders.

  1. Why don’t you use models in your product pictures?

We like to believe that the quality of our craft speaks for itself. Besides, our customers are likely to make the best models and endorsements for our products. Nevertheless, if you would like to see a draped look of a garment, please drop us a note.
