'Hunar' Black Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Dupatta
Hunar for us celebrates the exceptional artistry of our craftsmen, the cornerstone of Tilfi. It embodies our values of sustainability and harmony, and recognizes our interdependence in this beautiful ecosystem. The emblematic Charkha serves as a reminder of our country’s freedom struggle and a symbol of our glorious heritage.
Color - An always stunning shade of Black
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
Speciality - Hunar’s simplicity and visual elegance are achieved through a plain body and an elaborate border, patterned with spinning wheels and bobbins, “Charkhas” and “Naris” - the simple tools of our master artists.
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
