Magenta-Indian Pink Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Saree
It’s hard not to fall in love with this Banarasi classic! We’re swooning over the opulent zari vasket Shikargah pattern on the body and the princely love story, woven in silk on its border and pallu. Extravagant and luxurious as only a Banarasi can be!
Color - A ravishing shot colour with a warp of Magenta and a weft of Indian Pink
Technique - Classic zari vasket handwoven art passed down through generations. A border and pallu in the enduring Kadwa weave. This elaborate and laborious technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern which stands out on the fabric. True to form Kadiyal technique which helps achieve a border in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
Speciality - A classic shikargah pattern set against charming Raja-Rani motifs intricately woven in the finest Banarasi kadwa weave with gold and silver zari.
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
