Sea Green Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Paithani Handloom Saree
A marvellous Paithani from India's rich textile heritage! Historically donned by the royal families of Maharashtra, this Banarasi Paithani is the perfect saree for a rich, regal and distinctively traditional look. Beautiful peacocks and parrots, woven in the finest kadhua techniques, adorn this gorgeous classic.
Colour - A beautiful shade of Sea Green
Technique - A classic handwoven Banarasi Paithani; a technique that uses a zari warp to form a rich golden ground, adorned by beautiful Meenakari work, the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured threads during the hand-weaving process. An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric.
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
Speciality - Banarasi weavers have sought inspiration in India's rich and varied regions and made this beautiful classic their own. This saree has an intricate Paithani style border and Aanchal.
Tilfi Promise - Pure fabrics and genuine Banarasi handloom at a fair price
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But isn't it charming that no-one else will ever own this beauty, handmade just for you?
