A Banarasi from the Mughal era! An absolutely fabulous, sunshine saree with a plain body and a regal border and pallu patterned with Mughal bootas in Roopa Sona zari.
-
Color - A beautiful and happy shade of Yellow
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and true to form Kadiyal technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Kadiyal helps achieve a border in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan Silk
-
Speciality - The elaborate bootas in the contrast colour pallu are old Mughal favourites which have stood the test of time.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure fabrics and genuine Banarasi handloom at a fair price

Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But isn't it charming that no-one else will ever own this beauty handmade just for you?
