Black-Aqua Green Pure Katan Silk Banarasi Handloom Dupatta

Adorned with a classic bootidar pattern and peacock koniyas in subtle Meenakari and Kadwa, this is a lustrous and soft pure Katan silk dupatta handwoven in traditional Banarasi artistry. Edged with intricate vines on the border and finished with tassels. 

• Color - A shot colour of Black and Aqua Green
• Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
• Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave and fine Meenakari technique. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but it makes a more robust pattern that stands out on the fabric. Meenakari involves the painstaking addition of supplementary coloured resham threads during the hand-weaving process.
