Ānandini
"Where does the rainbow end, in your soul or on the horizon?”
A fabulous burst of colour and enduring art, our glorious Ānandini saree captures sheer blissfulness in silk. A saree to treasure both for its design ingenuity and vintage handloom artistry.
-
Color - A beautiful melange of Blue, Grey, Teal and Yellow
-
Technique - An enduring Kadwa weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. A classic Kadiyal technique which helps achieve a border in a sharply contrasting color using multiple changes in warp and the weft shuttle.
-
Fabric - Soft as butter, pure Katan silk
-
Speciality - A handwoven masterpiece with a breathtaking multicoloured body and border achieved through a complex confluence of techniques - the finest Kadiyal, meenakari and kadhua weaves.
-
Tilfi Promise - Pure. Handloom. Banaras.
-
Note - The saree comes with its own blouse piece. The model is wearing a separate blouse for styling purposes.
Since this product is handwoven, there might be slight irregularities. But don't you think these add to the singular charm of a handloom beauty?
