Old Rose Pure Satin Silk Short Kurta with Hand-embroidered Skirt and Dupatta

An alluring pure satin kurta and skirt set forms a distinctively flared a-line silhouette, featuring dainty rose bootis handwoven on the kurta in gold and silver zari. Hand-embroidered arches reminiscent of jeweled necklaces are rendered in golden oscillations that encrust the soft satin silk skirt. The set is completed by a sheer organza silk dupatta adorned with rose motif embroidery in pearls and cutdana.

• Technique - An enduring Kadhua weave. The elaborate and laborious Kadwa (Kadhua) technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern, which stands out on the fabric. Complemented with exquisite hand-embroidered details on the skirt and dupatta using pearl and cutdana beads.
