Technique - Classic handwoven Banarasi art passed down through generations with a unique Paithani style border and Kadwa bootis. In Paithani style of weaving, a zari warp is used to form a rich golden ground. The elaborate and laborious Kadhua technique involves hand-weaving each motif separately. It takes longer on the handloom, but makes a more robust pattern which stands out on the fabric.
